Coastal Skipper

This is an advanced-skippering course.

The course is aimed at yachtsmen and women with a considerable knowledge of sailing and navigational skills, aspiring towards a ‘Certificate of Competence’.

Course: Coastal Skipper
Suggested minimum pre-course experience: 15 days, 2 days as skipper, 300 miles, 8 night hours
Assumed knowledge: Navigation to Coastal Skipper standard, sailing to Day Skipper practical standard.
Course content: Pilotage by day and night, boat handling, passage planning, safety, emergency situations
After course: Skipper a yacht on coastal waters by day and night
